Named after Italian climbing legend Emilio Comici, arguably one of the greatest climbers of all time, the Comici Pants combine our proprietary Stormwall fabric with AlpineWool®. Stormwall is a stretchy softshell fabric with a windproof membrane and a PFC-free water-repellent finish. Designed with comfort in mind, these pants allow moisture vapor to escape easily, keeping you warm and dry. The elastane content allows for good freedom of movement when moving quickly over technical terrain. For additional insulation, we build AlpineWool® panels in a melange knit made from wool sourced from high-altitude sheep and polyester yarns on the seat and upper thighs. Ergonomic, alpine cut All seams are double-stitched for added durability. Two low-profile leg pockets are easy to access and lie flat when not in use—they also include an additional patch cargo pocket. Side vents allow you to regulate your temperature on the move to ensure freshness and comfort. The fitted lower legs with zippers and laces ensure a snug fit over boots and secure the cuffs, minimizing the risk of crampons getting caught. Cordura®-reinforced patches provide additional protection against cuts and abrasions. Internal gaiters prevent snow from entering.
